Ad interpretare Flashdance di Irene Cara a Sanremo 2022 nell’ambito della serata dedicata alle Cover sarà un’artista completa e con una voce straordinaria come Elisa. Il brano è tratto dal film omonimo e dentro di sé ha un po’ d’Italia visto che la musica è stata scritta da Giorgio Moroder. Irene Cara ha invece composto le parole insieme a Keith Forsey. Il brano uscì nel 1983 e vinse il Premio Oscar per la miglior canzone. La canzone raggiunse la testa della classifica Billboard Hot 100 e si aggiudicò anche il disco d’oro diventando un vero e proprio successo in tutto il mondo.
