Maria do Rosário Leitão Lupi Bello is an Assistant Professor at Universidade Aberta, in Lisbon, where she has lectured in the areas of Theory of Literature, Portuguese Literature and Culture and Film Studies since 1989. She took a degree in Modern Languages and Literature (English and German) at Universidade Nova (Lisbon) in 1985, later completing her Master’s Degree in Anglo-Portuguese Studies at the same university in 1991 and her PhD in Theory of Literature (Narratology) at Universidade Aberta (Lisbon) in 2002. As Guest Professor she has also lectured Filmic Narratology at Universidade de Coimbra (2005-2007). She is a member of APEAA (Associação Portuguesa de Estudos Anglo-Americanos) and ICLA (International Comparative Literature Association).
