John H. Garvey è presidente della Catholic University of America. Dopo la laurea all’ Università di Notre Dame nel 1970, ha svolto un master in Studi Teologici alla Harvard Divinity School (1970-71), ed è entrato alla Harvard Law School, dove ha ottenuto un JD nel 1974. E’ stato assistente di Irving R. Kaufman, per la Corte d’Appello degli Stati Uniti, (1974/5), membro della Morrison & Foerster (1975/6), e assistente del vice procuratore generale del Dipartimento di Giustizia degli Stati Uniti (1981-1984). Ha insegnato alla University of Kentucky College of Law, è stato visiting professor della University of Michigan Law School, professore alla Notre Dame Law School (1994-9) e preside del Boston College Law School dal 1999 al 2010.John H. Kaufman, United States Court of Appeals, Second Circuit (1974/5), associate of Morrison & Foerster (1975/6), and assistant to the solicitor general, United States Department of Justice (1981-1984). He has taught at the University of Kentucky College of Law, was a visiting professor at the University of Michigan Law School, professor at the Notre Dame Law School (1994-9) and dean of the Boston College Law School from 1999 to 2010.
