Richard K. Vedder è “senior fellow” all’Independent Institute, un centro di studi non-profit con sede a Oakland, California e insegna Economia all’Università di Ohio, dove è anche professore associato all’Istituto di Storia Contemporanea. Il professor Vedder è autore di molti libri, tra i quali Going Broke by Degree: Why College Costs Too Much, The American Economy in Historical Perspective; e Poverty, Income Distribution, the Family and Public Policy (scritto con L. Gallaway), e di moltissimi articoli.Richard K. Vedder is Senior Fellow at The Independent Institute. At Ohio University he is Edwin and Ruth Kennedy Distinguished Professor of Economics and Faculty Associate at the Contemporary History Institute. Professor Vedder earned his Ph.D. in economics at the University of Illinois (1965). He has written many books, including Going Broke by Degree: Why College Costs Too Much, The American Economy in Historical Perspective; and Poverty, Income Distribution, the Family and Public Policy (with L. Gallaway). His hundreds of articles and reviews have appeared in numerous scholarly journals as well as mainstream media source. Professor Vedder co-authored th book, Out of Work, the recipient of both the 1994 Sir Antony Fisher International Memorial Award and 1994 Mencken Award Finalist for Best Book.
