Manca poco al nuovo appuntamento con l’annuale conferenza stampa sulle novità del colosso di Mountain View, Google. E’ lei l’azienda 2.0 che ha mani ovunque e che continua ad evolversi e migliorare di anno in anno e anche oggi per noi ha tante novità. La più attesa è la nuova versione del suo sistema operativo, ovvero Android. Quale altra modifica o miglioria avranno apportato i tecnici all’SO ci Muntain View? I pettegolezzi, in attesa delle conferme ufficiali, sono tanti a cominciare dai suoi punti di forza che dovrebbero essere sicurezza e controllo da remoto, parole che vanno tanto di moda soprattutto se si parla di aziende e di smartphone. Se da una parte, infatti, sembra esclusa una modifica dell’interfaccia, dall’altra sembra che il “Macadamia Nut Cookie” (questo potrebbe essere il suo nome) permetterà agli utenti di avere a disposizione nuovi controlli di sicurezza e di privacy e addirittura un sistema di riconoscimento dell’impronta digitale. Sarà davvero così? Lo scopriremo tra qualche minuto direttamente dalla conferenza di San Francisco.
A poche ore dall’inizio di Google I/O, in programma il 28 e 29 maggio in California, è in vendita proprio da oggi il nuovo Project Tango, lo smartphone targato Mountain View in grado di mappare l’ambiente circostante. Il dispositivo è però acquistabile solamente negli Stati Uniti a un prezzo (tutto sommato ragionevole) di 512 dollari, mentre inizialmente era stato messo in vendita solamente per gli sviluppatori a un prezzo esattamente doppio, cioè 1024 dollari. Una mossa chiaramente non casuale da parte di Google che oggi, durante la nuova edizione di Google I/O, potrebbe anticipare diverse novità sul dispositivo.
C’è grande attesa per l’inizio della Google I/O, annuale conferenza organizzata da Google e rivolta agli sviluppatori web in programma oggi e domani presso il centro conferenze Moscone a San Francisco, California (clicca qui per consultare il programma completo). Grande riserbo è ancora mantenuto sulle novità che verranno annunciate durante questa edizione, anche se le più recenti indiscrezioni puntano sulla nuova versione di Android che sarà probabilmente la vera protagonista della conferenza. Le ultime notizie, ovviamente né confermate né smentite dal gruppo di Mountain View, parlano dell’arrivo di Android M, il cui nome per esteso potrebbe essere “Macadamia Nut Cookie” (“biscotto alle noci di Macadamia”), un nome certamente curioso che potrebbe riservare sorprese. Se infatti l’arrivo di Lollipop aveva fatto segnare un bel passo in avanti dal punto di vista dell’interfaccia grafica, Big G potrebbe stavolta aver puntato sulle prestazioni presentando nuove funzioni e apportando piccole e grandi modifiche che gli utenti aspettavano da tempo. Per il momento sono soltanto voci, ma sembra che Android M potrebbe debuttare oggi per essere poi subito disponibile per gli sviluppatori e arrivare infine al release finale verso il mese di agosto. Non è invece ancora chiaro se si parlerà dei nuovi dispositivi Nexus, ipotesi però definita al momento improbabile, che invece dovrebbero tornare protagonisti il prossimo autunno.
